Rayshawn RaeLynn Thomas, a 28-year-old transgender woman, tragically passed away on August 10, 2016, in Columbus, OH. She was known for her vibrant personality and was a beloved performer and fashionista within her community. RaeLynn's death was a result of a violent attack by her mother's ex-boyfriend, James Allen Byrd, who fatally shot her while she was watching television with her mother.
