Mia Leanna Shane, a 24-year-old woman, tragically lost her life on September 1, 2020, in Columbus, Ohio. She was shot to death in a parking lot at the Cross-Key Apartment Complex in Truro Township. Shane was with Carl Peay II, 27, when they were ambushed by two unidentified gunmen. Both victims were found with multiple gunshot wounds and pronounced dead at the scene.
The Franklin County Sheriff's Office released surveillance video showing the suspects hiding in the parking lot before the
shooting. The suspects, believed to be involved in a robbery or retaliation, were seen wearing hoodie sweatshirts and long pants. Despite the release of the video and a cash reward offered by Crime Stoppers of Central Ohio, no arrests have been made in connection with the case.
The investigation remains ongoing, with authorities continuing to seek information from the public. The case has not yet resulted in any arrests or suspects being identified. The Franklin County Sheriff's Office has urged anyone with information to come forward and assist in the investigation.
