Calvin James "C.J." Simmons Jr., a 37-year-old African American male from Hamilton, Ohio, tragically died on September 16, 2016, after being shot in his own home. Police found him with a gunshot wound to the stomach at his residence on University Boulevard around 3:45 a.m. Despite being rushed to Fort Hamilton Hospital, he succumbed to his injuries. Simmons was known for his kind heart and was the father of five daughters, ranging in age from 8 to 18 years old.
