On January 7, 2012, Casey Long, aged 41, died after a brutal assault in Detroit, Michigan. The incident took place on the east side of the city, specifically in the 12000 block of Conant Street, between Charles and Garvin Streets. Casey was discovered in critical condition in the early morning hours of December 30, 2011, and was transported to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries on January 5, 2012.
