On November 21, 2016, Marwan Zahriyeh, a 44-year-old man from North Olmsted, was fatally shot during an apparent robbery at the KwickFood Mart located at 3646 East 116th Street in Cleveland, OH. According to police reports, Zahriyeh was approached by a man who pointed a gun at him and demanded money. In an attempt to defend himself, Zahriyeh tried to slap the gun out of the robber's hand, but the gun discharged, hitting him in the chest.
