In the cold of a Detroit winter, just a day before he would have celebrated his 40th birthday, Curtis Reynolds was killed. On a violent weekend in January 2012, he became one of ten shooting victims in the city. Reynolds, a man who worked as a security guard at the Town Pump Tavern, was in the driveway of his mother's house on the 12000 block of Ohio Street when the sound of gunshots broke the stillness of the morning.
