Richard McCoy, a 28-year-old man from Akron, OH, tragically died on February 15, 2017, from gunshot wounds to the torso. The incident occurred in Akron's Summit Lake neighborhood, where McCoy was shot outside a residence. After being shot, McCoy attempted to flee the scene by getting into his vehicle, but he crashed into a utility pole and was transported to Cleveland Clinic Akron General, where he succumbed to his injuries shortly before 9 p.m.
