Corey La-Paul Brown, a 29-year-old Black male from Columbus, OH, tragically died on March 27, 2017. He was fatally shot in the parking lot of a Waffle House located at 1405 N. Cassady Avenue around 2:45 a.m. Witnesses reported seeing a gold, four-door vehicle involved in the incident, which fled the scene before police arrived. Despite the efforts of emergency responders, Corey was pronounced dead at the scene.
