Brighton A. Davis, a 21-year-old resident of Columbus, Ohio, was tragically shot and killed on September 23, 2023. The incident occurred at approximately 11:31 a.m. in an apartment located on Melissa Place in southeast Columbus. Upon arrival, officers found Davis suffering from a gunshot wound; he was pronounced dead shortly thereafter at 11:39 a.m.

The investigation quickly identified the suspect as David C. Jones II, a 26-year-old man who fled the scene after the shooting. Police lat ...
