Douglas Allen Thackston, a 37-year-old man from Portsmouth, Ohio, tragically died on August 4, 2018. The circumstances surrounding his death were grim, as he was shot to death in Wayne Hills, Portsmouth. The investigation into his death led to the arrest of Nathan Stiltner, who was charged with aggravated murder, murder, and felonious assault. Stiltner was found guilty of these charges in 2019 and was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole for 28 years.
