Jamell North, a 40-year-old African American male from Youngstown, OH, was tragically found shot to death on October 26, 2018, in his home at 2119 Summer Street. His mother, Hallie North, aged 67, was also found dead at the scene, making it a double homicide. The house was known to be a drug house, and the incident was the third killing in Youngstown within 18 hours.
Youngstown police Chief Robin Lees confirmed that the house was a known drug house, and the investigation was ongoing.
The Mahoning County Coroner’s office conducted an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death. The deaths of Jamell and Hallie North were the 15th and 16th homicides in the city for that year.
As of now, there have been no arrests or suspects named in connection with the murders of Jamell and Hallie North. The investigation remains open, and the Youngstown police continue to seek information that could lead to the identification and arrest of those responsible for this tragic event.
