JaVon Anderson Crump, a 17-year-old African American male from Maple Heights, Ohio, was tragically shot and killed on January 8, 2019. He was visiting a relative's home when he answered a knock at the door and was shot by unknown suspects. JaVon was innocent of any wrongdoing and was described by his family as a sweet, well-behaved teenager who loved music and basketball.
