Stephen Andrew Smith Jr., a 26-year-old Black male from Columbus, OH, tragically lost his life on May 21, 2019. He was found unresponsive at 770 Kerr Street, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Despite the efforts of Columbus Fire Department Medic 1, he was pronounced dead at the scene at 12:40 a.m. The incident occurred around 12:31 a.m., when Columbus Police Officers were summoned to the location on the report of a shooting.
