On August 28, 2019, 17-year-old Devin Henderson, a Black male from Dayton, Ohio, was shot and killed in a detached garage on Conner Street. Devin was with his friend Javier Harrison, also 17, when they were both shot by the homeowner, Victor Santana, who was 63 years old at the time. Devin was shot twice in the back, and Javier was shot three times, in the back, arm, and thigh.
