On August 31, 2019, Traylynn D. Smith, a 17-year-old black male from Mansfield, OH, tragically lost his life due to a gunshot wound to the head. He was found in an unnamed alley in the 300 block of W. 3rd Street and was pronounced dead at the scene. The Mansfield Division of Police responded to the incident around 9:53 PM and launched an investigation into the homicide.

motive and those responsible for Traylynn's death. The police have urged anyone with information about the incident or suspicious activity in the area to come forward. Despite their efforts, no arrests have been made, and the case remains unsolved.

He had recently returned from Job Corps in Dayton and was known for his love of joking around and rapping.
