On August 31, 2019, Traylynn D. Smith, a 17-year-old black male from Mansfield, OH, tragically lost his life due to a gunshot wound to the head. He was found in an unnamed alley in the 300 block of W. 3rd Street and was pronounced dead at the scene. The Mansfield Division of Police responded to the incident around 9:53 PM and launched an investigation into the homicide.
