Marquise Javonne Hale, an 18-year-old Black male from Columbus, Ohio, tragically lost his life on June 22, 2020. He was a conscientious warehouse worker and was well-loved by his family and friends. Marquise was born on August 31, 2001, to Quwanda and Tawana Hale, and he is survived by his father, mother, and several siblings.
On the night of his death, Marquise was found with multiple gunshot wounds in front of 1910 Fountain View on Channingway Boulevard.
He was quickly transported to a local hospital, but despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at 11:30 PM. The Columbus Police Department responded to the scene and launched an investigation into the incident.
As of now, there have been no arrests or suspects named in connection with Marquise Hale's death. The case remains unsolved, and the Columbus Police Department's Homicide Cold Case Unit continues to seek information and tips from the public to bring justice to Marquise's family. The Ohio Attorney General's Office has also highlighted this case as part of their efforts to solve unsolved homicides.
