On July 2, 2020, Delano Royster, a 26-year-old man from Columbus, OH, was found fatally shot in the 1900 block of South Champion Avenue. He was transported to OhioHealth Grant Medical Center but was pronounced dead at 3:45 p.m. The incident occurred during a fight inside a home, where Trevon Elder, 25, allegedly pulled out a handgun and shot Royster. Another individual, Trevon Marteina, 28, was also present and fled the scene with significant injuries but survived.
