Jawaun Hurst, a 20-year-old African American male from Youngstown, Ohio, tragically lost his life on July 31, 2020. He was found in a wooded lot on LaBelle Avenue on the city's south side, having been shot multiple times, including in the stomach. Neighbors reported hearing arguing and gunshots before the incident. Hurst was taken to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
