On August 6, 2020, 29-year-old Christopher Catching, a Black male, was fatally shot in Columbus, Ohio. Columbus Police Officers responded to a report of a shooting at 1223 Berwick Arms Place at approximately 5:36 PM. Upon arrival, they found Catching suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Despite immediate medical attention, he was pronounced dead at the scene at 5:45 PM.
The incident occurred during a dispute between Catching and an unidentified man.
According to the initial investigation, Catching had gone to the area to confront the man, who then shot and killed him. No suspect information has been released, and the case remains unsolved. The Columbus Police Department continues to seek information from the public to help solve this case.
