Do you know who shot and killed David Hodge? On October 27, 2016, David Lee Hodge, age 35, was shot and killed during a home invasion in Columbus, Ohio. The incident took place in the 100 block of Columbian Avenue around 8:32 p.m. Hodge was inside the residence at 174 Columbian Avenue when multiple known and unknown individuals were present. A call was made to the police dispatcher reporting that someone was attempting to break into the house. During the call, gunshots were heard in the background.
When officers arrived, they found Hodge with multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to Mount Carmel West Hospital, but unfortunately, he did not survive and was pronounced dead at 9:22 p.m.
According to investigators, the suspects broke windows to enter the home and made their way upstairs, where they confronted Hodge and another individual. It is believed that Hodge may have known the suspects. After the shooting, the suspects fled the scene, possibly in a silver Nissan Rogue. Despite the ongoing investigation, no arrests have been made, and the case remains unsolved. Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward, and a cash reward is being offered for tips leading to an arrest or indictment in this case.
