Edward J. Suggs, a 56-year-old African American male from Lorain, Ohio, tragically passed away on August 7, 2020. He was known to many as "Ole School" or Ed, and was the eldest of 12 siblings. Suggs was a lifelong resident of Lorain and was well-regarded in his community.
On the day of his death, Suggs was sitting on his front porch in the 1800 block of Garden Avenue when he was struck by a stray bullet.
The bullet was allegedly fired by 20-year-old Israel Dominguez II during a fight that broke out across the street. The U.S. Marshals Service issued a warrant for Dominguez's arrest, offering a reward for information leading to his capture.
