On September 24, 2020, Cornelius Casimere, a 30-year-old man from Columbus, OH, was tragically shot and killed in the Linden neighborhood. The incident occurred around noon in the 2200 block of Homestead Drive, near Linden McKinley High School. Casimere was pronounced dead at the scene.

Shortly after the shooting, 28-year-old Derek Boone, who was present at the scene, admitted to being the shooter. Boone was taken into custody and later charged with murder. The Columbus Division of Police ...
