Michael D. Birchfield, a 38-year-old man from Marion, OH, tragically died on March 10, 2021, from a gunshot wound to the torso. Birchfield was a resident at the address where the shooting occurred, and he was transported to Marion General Hospital by the Marion City Fire Department, but he succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival.
