Antonio DeVaughn Felding, a 27-year-old male of African American ethnicity, tragically died on April 11, 2021, in Akron, Ohio. He was shot in the head at approximately 2:15 a.m. near the intersection of Carroll and Beaver streets. Felding was taken to a local hospital, where he remained conscious and breathing initially, but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries a week later.
The Akron police launched an investigation into the incident, believing it might have been related to an
altercation at or near a house party in the 600 block of Carroll Street. Despite their efforts, no arrests have been made, and the case remains unsolved. The police have urged anyone with information to come forward and assist with the investigation.
