On May 3, 2021, Marquel Cobb, a 25-year-old man from Cleveland, OH, was fatally shot in the city's Slavic Village neighborhood. Cobb was found with multiple gunshot wounds to his chest at the intersection of Fleet Ave. and Broadway Ave. Despite being rushed to the hospital, he succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival. Another male, a juvenile, was also shot during the incident but survived his injuries.
