Jeremy David Bickerstaff, a 42-year-old white male, tragically lost his life on May 9, 2021, in Columbus, Ohio. The incident occurred at a residence on the 400 block of Glenwood Avenue. Bickerstaff was found with apparent gunshot wounds, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. Another individual, 44-year-old Carlos Benito, was also found deceased at the same location.
The investigation revealed that Bickerstaff and Benito were shot by Anthony Rogers, who was later arrested and charged
with their murders. Rogers, along with Jami Sherrill, was involved in a drug and human trafficking ring and had gone to the residence to help clean up the scene of another shooting. During the incident, Rogers shot both Benito and Bickerstaff. Rogers was eventually sentenced to 12 years in prison for the death of Carlos Benito, while Sherrill received a 28 to 33 ½ year sentence for her involvement in the crimes.
