Shawn Bender, age 16, was tragically killed on December 4, 2012, in Detroit, Michigan, in an execution-style shooting. The incident occurred at approximately 9:15 p.m. on the 15000 block of Tacoma near Brock Avenue. Alongside Bender, three other victims were killed: Dyrelle Davis, age 34; Janetta Harris, age 22; and Jason Koester, age 28.
