Derek L. Davis, a 24-year-old male from Akron, Ohio, tragically lost his life on July 7, 2021. He was fatally shot multiple times while seated in his vehicle in the University Park neighborhood of Akron. Davis was discovered by police around 11:00 p.m. and was later pronounced dead at Akron City Hospital at 12:16 a.m. the following morning. His death was ruled a homicide by the Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office.
