On November 7, 2021, Shanee Betz, a 29-year-old woman from Canton, Ohio, tragically lost her life after being shot in a double shooting incident. The incident occurred in the 1800 block of Spring Avenue NE, where both Betz and another victim, 25-year-old Jacob Hall, were found with gunshot wounds. They were privately transported to the Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital parking deck, where Betz was later pronounced dead around 4 p.m. the following day.
