Shane Henry Bartek, a 25-year-old male of Caucasian ethnicity, tragically passed away on December 31, 2021, in Cleveland, OH. Shane was an off-duty Cleveland Police Officer who was shot and killed while attempting to prevent a carjacking. The incident occurred in the parking lot of an apartment complex on Rock River Drive. Officer Bartek was shot twice during a struggle with the carjacker, who then fled the scene.
