On April 16, 2024, a tragic incident occurred in Cleveland, Ohio, resulting in the death of 13-year-old Javier Smith Santiago. The young boy was fatally shot on Riverside Avenue during the evening hours. Cleveland police responded to the scene, where Javier was pronounced dead.
