Clyde Knox, an 82-year-old man from Butler Township, Dayton, OH, tragically passed away on August 5, 2022. Clyde, along with his wife Eva "Sally" Knox, 78, were victims of a quadruple murder that took place in their neighborhood. The couple had shared 60 wonderful years of marriage and were well-loved by their family and friends.
The suspect in this case, 39-year-old Stephen Marlow, was arrested the following day in Lawrence, Kansas, after being seen speeding away from the scene.
Marlow faces multiple charges, including 12 counts of aggravated murder, eight counts of aggravated burglary, one count of tampering with evidence, and one count of having weapons under disability. The Montgomery County Prosecutor has stated that the death penalty is being considered for Marlow due to the severity of the crime.
The investigation revealed that Marlow had a history of mental illness and had previously been convicted in a burglary case in 2019, which barred him from legally possessing guns.
