On December 5, 2019, Brandon Harris, a 34-year-old man from Dayton, Ohio, was fatally shot outside Rick's Jazz Lab on Lakeview Avenue. Harris was one of three victims shot by Christopher Leon Smith, who used a handgun to commit two homicides within hours. Harris, who was African American, tragically lost his life in the early hours of that morning.

The investigation into Harris's death revealed that Smith also shot and killed Clarence Brown III later that same day, approximately 100 feet ...
