Following the incident, Joseph Mendoza, a 37-year-old man, was arrested on August 18, 2022, and charged with the murder of Mirracclle Anderson Morris. Mendoza was taken into custody without incident and is accused of fatally shooting Morris. The investigation revealed that Mendoza allegedly shot Morris during an altercation at the apartment.
