Dierre Smith Jr., an 18-year-old male from Akron, Ohio, was tragically shot and killed on November 27, 2022. The incident occurred in the 1100 block of Fifth Avenue, near Chittenden Street, just before 9 p.m. When police arrived at the scene, they found Smith on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds. He was quickly transported to Summa Akron City Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 10:19 p.m. The medical examiner's office determined that Smith's cause of death was a gunshot wound to the ...
