Delma Devon Adams, a 33-year-old white male, tragically lost his life on February 2, 1980, in Raleigh, North Carolina. Known as "Jimmy" to his friends, Adams was a dedicated police officer who had served the Raleigh Police Department for 13 years. On the night of his death, Officer Adams was making a DUI arrest. After placing the female suspect in the back of his squad car, he sat in the driver's seat. Unbeknownst to him, the suspect had a concealed handgun. She produced the weapon and shot Offi ...
