Death by Force

Nakia Antione Harper, a 31-year-old African American woman, was found dead on May 7, 2006, in Durham, North Carolina. The circumstances surrounding her death were initially unclear, but further investigation revealed that the fatal shooting might have been an act of self-defense. Harper's body was discovered at a home on Beamon Street, and an unidentified woman was taken into custody, questioned, and subsequently released.
