Pearlonda Rountree, a 20-year-old African American woman, tragically lost her life on August 6, 2006, in Charlotte, North Carolina. The circumstances surrounding her death were deeply distressing. On that fateful day, Pearlonda was found lying on the ground with a gunshot wound. Despite the efforts of first responders, she was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident left her family and the community in shock and mourning.
