Travis Davis, an 18-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on October 8, 2006, in Charlotte, North Carolina. Davis was a standout athlete at Harding University High School, excelling in both football and wrestling. On the night of his death, Davis was walking to a bus stop after leaving his girlfriend's home when he was shot multiple times. Authorities believe he was chased by his assailant into the woods, where his body was later discovered by police officers.
