Chadwick Abernathy, a 33-year-old man from Rougemont, NC, tragically lost his life on August 15, 2009, due to a fatal shooting. The incident occurred during a domestic dispute at 255 Bass Farm Road. Abernathy's death was the result of a heated argument with Benji Blackwell, 35, who had an on-and-off romantic relationship with him.
