Chavez Lamar Spearman, a 21-year-old African American male from Lillington, North Carolina, was found dead in a vehicle on February 26, 2014, in Sanford, North Carolina. He had been shot in the face and was discovered sitting in the driveway of 2414 Shawnee Drive. A handgun was found in the vehicle, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation into his death began immediately.
