Dirk Anthony Lequia, a 30-year-old male from Palmetto, Florida, was tragically shot and killed on April 12, 2018, in Sanford, North Carolina. The incident occurred at Harbours Car Wash located at 309 W. Makepeace St. The shooting was reported just before 1 p.m., and when police arrived, they found Lequia suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was immediately rushed to Central Carolina Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Jontrell Orlando Wilson, 23, Shakur Antonio Sellers, 24, and Latavious Kwame McIver, 27, all from Sanford, were arrested and charged. The police continued their investigation, and on April 14, 2018, a fourth suspect, Robert Fox Jr., 17, was also arrested and charged with first-degree murder.
