On the evening of February 24, 2024, at approximately 9:40 p.m., Sanford Police responded to a reported shooting at 800 Primrose Lane in Sanford, North Carolina. Upon arrival, officers discovered 20-year-old Tyrese Marquel Wicker lying on the front porch stairs, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency Medical Personnel attempted life-saving measures; however, Wicker was pronounced dead at the scene.
