Jason Lamont Harrington Jr., an 18-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on June 5, 2021, in Sanford, North Carolina. Jason was attending a graduation party at the Baymont Hotel when the event turned violent. Just before 1 a.m., Sanford police responded to a shooting at the hotel. Upon arrival, officers found Jason suffering from a gunshot wound in the hotel's parking lot.
