Juan Carlos Ruiz, a 27-year-old Hispanic male from Durham, North Carolina, tragically lost his life on May 25, 2014. Ruiz was the victim of a drive-by shooting on Holloway Street, which resulted in his vehicle crashing into the side of an empty house. The incident was not considered random, and Durham police quickly launched an investigation to identify the perpetrators.
