He had suffered a gunshot wound to his back and was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident occurred late Monday night when police responded to a shots-fired call around 10:30 p.m. The home had been hit several times by gunfire, and Jones was found lying on the floor with a fatal gunshot wound.
