Anthony Antoine Byers, a 38-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on June 29, 2014, in Charlotte, North Carolina. The incident occurred on the 2100 block of Lincoln Heights Court, where police responded to a call for assault with a deadly weapon. Upon arrival, officers found Byers suffering from a gunshot wound.
