Kamari Jones, a 7-year-old African American boy, tragically lost his life on July 23, 2014, in Wilson, North Carolina. Kamari was in his bedroom when someone fired multiple bullets into his home on Parkview Street around 10 p.m. One of the bullets struck Kamari in the head, leading to his death the following morning at Vidant Medical Center.
