Anthony Gerard Roseboro, a 30-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on October 4, 2014, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The incident occurred at Cue 'N Spirits, a bar located at 8100 North Point Boulevard near North Cherry Street. During a fight involving a large number of people, multiple shots were fired inside the bar, resulting in Roseboro being shot around 2:30 a.m.
He was subsequently taken to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries.
The investigation into Roseboro's death led to several arrests. Desmond Lamont Redd, 24, was arrested and charged with accessory after the fact to murder. Additionally, Devin Travonne Leach, 19, and Bobby Devonte Mankins II, 22, both of Winston-Salem, were charged with murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Jamar William Miller, 23, was also charged with accessory after the fact to murder.
Roseboro's death marked the 13th homicide in Winston-Salem for the year 2014, a significant increase compared to the six homicides recorded by the same time in 2013. The investigation into the incident continued, with the Winston-Salem police urging anyone with information to come forward.
