Kevin Dano Owens Jr., a 21-year-old African American male, was found dead in Greensboro, North Carolina, on January 23, 2015. His body was discovered in the early hours of the morning on Glendale Drive, between Argyle Lane and Meadow Park Court, near Kensington Park Condos. The Greensboro police responded to a medical call and found Owens apparently shot to death. The area was blocked off for several hours as the investigation commenced.
